While there was always the possibility that it would happen, the news that Ben Affleck has decided to step down as the director of The Batman still came as a shock last week. Though he remains committed to the movie as its lead star and an executive producer, the future of this new franchise is now unclear, despite a list of potential replacements surfacing recently.
Ah yes, the classic yellow suit. Anyone who's even remotely familiar with the X-Men and in particular, Wolverine, will know that the iconic costume has been with the character ever since the beginning. It's become something of a fan-favorite outfit, too, but for some reason, the films have never used it. It's been hinted at, and even glimpsed in a deleted scene from The Wolverine, but not once has the mutant put it on, and that's a damn shame.
People are still getting over the shocking announcement from Ben Affleck earlier this week, stating that he would no longer direct The Batman. Sure, he's been hesitant all along, hinting that he wasn't completely happy with the script, but I don't think anyone actually expected him to step down from the director's chair. Turns out though that he just couldn't resolve his differences with the studio and now, Warner Bros. is left to find a replacement.
Unfortunately for Lionsgate, the opinion on their upcoming Power Rangers reboot remains somewhat split right now. The studio's got a lot riding on the film - namely, franchise plans - but so far, they've been having trouble getting everyone on board. While the most recent trailer did go some way in fixing that, there are still a good portion of fans who aren't happy with what the studio's done with their beloved Rangers.
The wait for The Walking Dead to return has been torturous, but it finally hits AMC next Sunday. In the midseason finale, Rick Grimes finally decided to step up and attempt to unite the communities against Negan, and as fans of the comic books will already know, that could mean an all-out war is now on the horizon.
We may have spent a small amount of time with Tom Holland's wall-crawler in Captain America: Civil War, the movie simply didn't have enough the space to delve into the secrets of Peter Parker's new suit. Created by Tony Stark, we'll get to see the hero swing into action while wearing it in Spider-Man: Homecoming this July.
This week's episode of Legends of Tomorrow featured some huge twists and turns as we learned that Eobard Thawne is on the run from Black Flash, a speedster tasked with tracking down those who abuse the Speed Force. In the Reverse-Flash's case, he's running from the fact that he was wiped from existence by his ancestor Eddie Thawne.
After a brief stint trapped on Earth, Guardians of the Galaxy hero Rocket Raccoon is heading back into space for Rocket #1 this May. The current series will end after issue #5 is released in April and this new outing looks set to revolve around the character embarking on a life of intergalactic crime across the Marvel Universe.
At the end of Superior Spider-Man, Norman Osborn has the Goblin Serum purged from his body, something which left the Green Goblin just a normal man. He managed to escape from Peter Parker at the time but has recently resurfaced as an arms dealer selling his Goblin tech to the highest bidder in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man.
Fight. War. Battle. Bloodshed. These are all words that can be associated with the upcoming second half of The Walking Dead's seventh season. Whereas the first batch of episodes may have been somewhat underwhelming and poorly paced, it's been made abundantly clear in recent weeks that AMC's hit series is about to go from 0 to 100 real quick as Rick and the gang head into an all-out war with the villainous Negan.
