Strong Dragon’s Dogma Sales Help Boost Capcom’s Operating Income 244%

In their first quarter earnings report this morning, Capcom announced that worldwide shipments of Dragon's Dogma passed 1 million units as of June 30th. A regional breakdown of sales was not provided, but the company did note that stronger than expected Japanese sales of the new IP made up for "struggling" foreign sales.

Xbox 360 Shipments Dropped 35% In Microsoft’s Fourth Quarter

Microsoft revealed last night in their Q4 earnings report that 1.1 million Xbox 360 consoles were shipped worldwide during the quarter ended June 30, 2012. While this doesn't compare favorably to the 1.7 million consoles that were shipped during the same quarter last year, it does put them in the leadership position of the dying current-generation console market in the US.
