Everybody knows that Marvel is incredibly secretive when it comes to their upcoming projects. But it appears that this under-the-table mentality has diffused across all the major studios, especially when it comes to comic book movies. And the latest company to show its chomping teeth is Sony in relation to the upcoming film Venom 2.
Ice Cube has never been one to back down against authority. In fact, his introduction and diffusion into popular culture through N.W.A. was based almost entirely on that rebellious attitude (I don't need to name the song I'm thinking of, right?). And in the decades since his time with the infamous rap group came to a close, the performer's still refused to keep his mouth shut when he's mad. And boy is he mad about Last Friday.
Regressive in both its structure and tone, Ford v Ferrari thrillingly finishes its race to the cinematic past, though it had to pump its brakes a few times to get there.
Mike Flanagan's Doctor Sleep, though an ambitious sequel, has only been moderately received by critics and audiences alike. Whatever the reason may be – whether it's the film's attempt to appease both Stanley Kubrick and Stephen King, or its shortcomings in the pacing department – The Shining sequel has been more or less a dud for Warner Brothers.
It appears that someone thinks that a live-action remake of Ice Age would be a good idea; and what's even crazier is that a lot of people seem to agree.
