Year’s First BCS Rankings Released
The year's first Bowl Championship Series rankings were unveiled this evening on ESPN. In what comes as a bit of a surprise the Oklahoma Sooners were ranked as the top college team in the nation. Oklahoma started off the year ranked 7th in the AP poll, a position that more or less remained stagnant throughout an up and down first five games of the season

Mark Zuckerberg: Is He Scared?
On September 24, 2010 Mark Zuckerberg announced that he would be donating 100 million dollars to the Neward Public School system. Also this week, The Social Network, a David Fincher film originally based on the novel, The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich, will be released in theatres. Could this be a coincidence? I think not.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Has Nothing To Smile About
Perhaps the best thing to happen to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday was their decision to sport the classic grey facemasks. Go back about eight months ago, Brett Favre was considered a saviour, as glorified as he was through the prime of his run with Green Bay. This was until Super Bowl 43. The interception heard 'round the world, brought the Vikings roller coaster ride to an immediate halt. And then we waited...again.

Favre To Return For 20th Season
Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Brett Favre has announced that he will in fact return for a 20th season to lead the team to what he hopes will be another Super Bowl ring. The former Falcon, Packer and Jet has decided that coming fresh off ankle surgery will not effect his performance and so he will stay for another year.

Kovalchuk Is a Free Agent….Again
Yahoo! Sports has reported that the former Atlanta Thrasher and could be New Jersey Devil is yet again on the free agency market. Kovalchuk's monstrosity of a contract was ruled today as void by independent arbitrator Richard Bloch. The ruling has sent the Russian sniper back to the drawing board to work out a new long term deal.
