Deathstroke

Deathstroke Will Reportedly Be The Main Villain Of Titans Season 2

It's been a good few years for Deathstroke fans as the iconic supervillain had a cameo in Justice League, as played by Joe Manganiello, and has appeared on several seasons of Arrow, with Manu Bennett's portrayal often being dubbed the best Arrowverse big bad to date. Oh, and we also got Will Arnett's more comedic version in Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.

Now, however, it looks like we’re about to get another iteration of the Terminator in season 2 of DC Universe’s Titans. It was previously reported that Jericho, Deathstroke’s son, would be showing up in the next run and new intel suggests that the whole Wilson clan will be playing major roles, too. Rose Wilson AKA Ravager will join the cast in a recurring part while Slade Wilson is reported to be the main villain this time around.

That Hashtag Show broke the news, revealing that this take on Deathstroke will be more grounded, as per Titans‘s gritty interpretation of the DC world. And for more, here’s his character breakdown:

In this universe, Slade Wilson will be portrayed as a military man with a family but whose demanding nature tore that family apart. Described as a dedicated and patriotic solider, Slade is forced into early retirement by the military, setting him on a path of vengeance on those who he believes betrayed him.

We’ve also got the description for Ravager, which teases that she might end up joining the Titans, much as she does in the comics.

When the season begins, Rose is a strong, yet damaged woman looking to put her past behind her and find a new family to replace the one that her father destroyed. The studio is looking to cast either a mixed Latinx or mixed Asian actress, 18-21, in the role.

Titans EP Geoff Johns previously teased that a “very different” Deathstroke would be coming to the show eventually, though we didn’t expect it to happen this soon. Fans will now no doubt start wondering if his inclusion will lead to an adaptation of seminal comic book story The Judas Contract.  It’s looking likely that it will, but we’ll keep you updated on any and all further Titans season 2 intel as it comes in.
