Legends Of Tomorrow’s Caity Lotz Teases Sara Lance-Batwoman Romance

When it was revealed a few months back that Batwoman will be introduced in the next major Arrowverse crossover, the first place where many fans' minds went was a possible instance of "shipping" involving Sara Lance and Kate Kane. But lo and behold, Legends of Tomorrow will be sitting this one out, so that knowledge doused said flame for the moment.

When it was revealed a few months back that Batwoman will be introduced in the next major Arrowverse crossover, the first place where many fans’ minds went was a possible instance of “shipping” involving Sara Lance and Kate Kane. But lo and behold, Legends of Tomorrow will be sitting this one out, so that knowledge doused said flame for the moment.

At the time of San Diego Comic-Con, though, not everyone was privy to that particular fact. One reporter sitting at a roundtable shared with someone representing Bam Smack Pow actually asked Caity Lotz herself if Batwoman’s arrival will throw a wrench into Sara’s love life, to which the actress responded:

“Why would it cause conflict? Like maybe Sara’s gonna be like ‘Yooo’.”

It’s also worth mentioning that Lotz soon followed up with a coy “maybe,” but we all know that the decision isn’t up to her. Right now, Sara has a thing going on with Ava Sharpe, and it’s probably safe to assume that Batwoman’s would be producers want to craft a love interest of their own like, say, Rene Montoya.

Speaking of which, Caity was quick to play the Ava card:

“I don’t know. I feel like Ava and Sara it’s more than a fling. So, some hot chick in a bat costume isn’t going to just pull her away. But you never know. I don’t know. Sara and Ava are in a really good place. They have a very healthy, nice relationship. Of course, that’s going to get challenged. But, right now….we good.”

Legends of Tomorrow returns for its fourth season on Monday, October 22 on The CW. As for Batwoman’s debut, that’ll come in the crossover kicking off on December 9.
