Titans Set Photos Reveal Dick Grayson Out Of Costume

To say that Dick Grayson is a character in need of live action redemption is a massive understatement. After putting in a respectable performance in 1995's Batman Forever, his only appearance since outside of comics and animation has been that of 1997's universally reviled Batman & Robin. And when you consider that the Nightwing movie is years off - if it even happens at all - then it's safe to say there's a heck of a lot of pressure on Titans.

Already, we’ve been, um, treated to underwhelming looks at Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven via a handful of photos taken from the set. And to the surprise of nobody, online reaction has been resoundingly negative, as one has to admit that shopping at Party City for costumes would be a step up for this production.

Well, the same can’t be said for Robin himself, because what we’ve seen thus far of his getup looks to be rather satisfying – at least from the mid-chest and up. With that, we’re pleased to say that images of  Brenton Thaites’ iteration of Dick Grayson have emerged by way of a Teen Titans fan page over on Twitter, and can be seen in the gallery below.

For the sake of your convenience, we’ve placed the pictures of his cohorts in the slideshow as well, so feel free to do a bit of comparison. And though expectations have been considerably lowered, let’s just hope this field trip of sorts is more reflective of certain members of the team’s casual attire, as opposed to how they’ll appear in battle.

Titans will debut sometime later this year on WB’s DC-themed digital streaming service. As always, stay tuned for more.
