Deadline is reporting that Jessica Chastain and Joel Edgerton have officially signed on and William Hurt is in discussions to star in two films that link as a double feature. The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers will be based off original screenplays and will be directed by Ned Benson.
The 23rd film in the James Bond franchise, Skyfall, is currently in production. As usual with films that are big events, details on the movie are being kept suitably under wraps. However, the website 007.com has released a new image from Skyfall which shows Daniel Craig as Bond looking appropriately moody and unshaven.
Now we have The Innkeepers, a small thriller that tells the tale of two co-workers, Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy), working the final weekend before the closing of the Yankee Pedlar Inn. Claire and Luke believe the inn to be haunted by the spirit of a woman who was stood up by her fiancée on her wedding day and are seeking proof of it. There primary method is trying to capture electronic voice phenomena (EVPs) on their recorder.
Leigh Whannell and James Wan are returning for the sequel to their hit horror film Insidious. After making nearly $100 million on a $1.5 million budget, it’s really no surprise that the studio wants the duo back for Insidious 2. Deadline broke the story though they have no news on if any of the actors will return or where the story will go.
Whether or not The Woman in Black provides those chills is entirely up to whatever particular type of creep-out sends shivers down your spine (terror, like humour, is entirely subjective) but there’s no doubt that it’s a refreshing return to the old school ghost yarns of yesteryear. And that’s well worth screaming about.

After Christian Bale and Michael Fassbender passed on what is sure to be an epic and daunting role, Aronofsky has found another actor that he’d like to see take the challenge, Russell Crowe. Furthermore, the director also wants Liam Neeson for an important supporting role.

A criminally short final trailer for The Hunger Games has surfaced online today and despite using some recycled footage, it’s pretty damn exciting. Like the last two previews, the trailer stays away from the games themselves and instead chooses to focus more on Katniss’ preparation and lead up to the big event.
