Anchor Bay has announced The Divide for Blu-Ray in April. The film, directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman) and starring Lauren German, Milo Ventimigla, Ashton Holmes and Michael Biehn, deals with the intense psychological problems that arise when dealing with a nuclear attack.

It’s an intensely made look at natural human breakdown, but I thought it was just a bit too much. It dealt with some strong emotions, but it felt underwhelming and often times lacking in some character development.

Milo Ventimiglia stole the show and veteran actor Michael Biehn has some fun, but Lauren German kind of sits around doing nothing while the rest of the cast deals with the various problems that surface throughout the films overly long running time.

Our very own Amy Curtis really enjoyed the film and had this to say about it in her review.

The Divide is a fantastic film. With a well established atmosphere, an intense script and great acting, it makes for a very gripping and well done film.

The film will be presented in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack with a 1080p video transfer and a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track. Here’s a list of special features.

  • Commentary with actors Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Eklund and director Xavier Gens
  • Theatrical Trailer

The Divide will hit Blu-Ray on April 17th, 2012.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
