Blade II Coming To Blu-Ray In July

Warner Bros. has announced Blade II for Blu-Ray on July 10th, 2012. Not too long ago I reported on Warner Bros. announcing Blade and Blade: Trinity for Blu-Ray in June. For some reason they left out the Guillermo del Toro directed sequel Blade II. It looks like they've listened to the negative comments and have now decided to release the film in accordance with the other two. The Wesley Snipes starring sequel also stars Kris Kristofferson and Ron Perlman.

Warner Bros. has announced the popular sequel to the comic-book adaptation titled Blade II for Blu-Ray in July.

Not too long ago I reported on Warner Bros. announcing Blade and Blade: Trinity for Blu-Ray in June. For some reason they left out the Guillermo del Toro directed sequel Blade II. It looks like they’ve listened to the negative comments and have now decided to release the film in accordance with the other two. The Wesley Snipes starring sequel also stars Kris Kristofferson and Ron Perlman.

I’m thrilled to know that my Blade collection will be complete on Blu-Ray. Warner Bros. has a sketchy track record with releasing trilogies on Blu-Ray, just look at the Friday or Rush Hour series.

Blade II will be presented in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The following features have been confirmed:

  • All-new director’s commentary
  • Director’s Notebook feature
  • Blade II: Blood Brothers featurette with writer David Goyer

Blade II will be available to own on Blu-Ray on July 10th, 2012.
