Detention Coming To Blu-Ray In July

Detention is the latest experimental film by Joseph Kahn (Torque) starring Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook. It was a difficult film for Kahn to get off the ground, but from what I hear it's one of the better films that played at SXSW.

Sony has announced the latest Joseph Kahn film, Detention, for Blu-Ray in July.

Detention is the latest experimental film by Joseph Kahn (Torque) starring Josh Hutcherson and Dane Cook. It was a difficult film for Kahn to get off the ground, but from what I hear it’s one of the better films that played at SXSW.

It’s being described as a mixture of self-aware horror/comedy, from a teenage perspective and even though the trailer is kind of nuts, I do want to make it a goal of mine to see this thing when it hits Blu-Ray in just over a month.

The Blu-Ray will be released via Sony and it will come with a 1080p video transfer and a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. Here’s the rundown of the bonus content:

  • Detention Mode feature
  • 3 screen tests
  • Fight rehearsal
  • Riffing with Dane feature

Detention lands on Blu-Ray on July 31st, 2012.
