The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition Officially Announced

After being rumoured last week, Warner Bros. has gone ahead and officially announced The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition. Set to release on September 24th, the six disc box set will retail for $99.97.

Now on September 24, Nolan’s three Batman films – Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises – will be released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment as The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition. The six-disc set will feature all three films with their existing extra content, two new featurettes and exclusive new collectible memorabilia. This must-own collection for fans of DC Comics’ Caped Crusader is available in premium packaging and will sell for $99.97 SRP.

For $100, this is a pretty fantastic deal. Even if you already own all three films on Blu-Ray, I think there’s enough additional material here to warrant a purchase. Besides, this is one of those Blu-Ray box sets that you kind of need to own if you consider yourself a Blu-Ray collector or just a fan of movies in general. I mean, it’s The Dark Knight Trilogy, how can you not want to pick this up as soon as it releases?
