Although Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is still in the midst of its opening weekend, it is apparently not too early to disclose its home video release. On July 16, you will be able to choose from one of several editions of the film, which we will discuss below.

Your first choice is the more affordable. According to Amazon, who is already taking pre-orders, the Blu-Ray Combo Pack will include two cuts: theatrical (PG-13) and the much talked about R-rated Ultimate Edition that will boast an extra thirty minutes of footage. Both 2D and 3D versions are expected to be included. Its suggested retail price is that of $35.99.

The second option is incredibly enticing, although quite a bit more expensive. It seems the film’s marketing campaign that asked fans to choose a side will continue with the home video releases. Unless, of course, you are willing to spend generously on both Amazon Exclusive Collector’s Editions, which include highly detailed statues of Superman and Batman. Should you be interested in one of these packages, expect to pay $129.99.

As of now, no bonus features have been detailed, but a full rundown of those can be expected closer to release.

Some may think the July release date is a bit soon, but such is often the case for home video releases these days. Plus, we have Suicide Squad’s August 5 release date to take into account and can only assume WB will do all they can to promote both films in tandem.
