Blu-Ray Listing For Star Wars: The Last Jedi Hints At Plenty Of Bonus Content

Reddit has uncovered an alleged Blu-ray post claiming Star Wars: The Last Jedi will feature two hours' worth of bonus content on home video.

At the time of writing, neither Lucasfilm nor Disney have divulged any firm details regarding The Last Jedi‘s home video release. A Blu-ray is coming, though, and if we had to guess, it’ll likely be with us sometime in April.

That’s because The Force Awakens and Rogue One – two Star Wars movies that also released in December – hit home video on April 5th and April 4th, respectively, while March is also set to herald Blu-rays for both Justice League and Thor: Ragnarok, the comic book blockbusters of November, 2017.

Besides, Solo: A Star Wars Story has been earmarked for a theatrical launch in May, so an early spring rollout for The Last Jedi Blu-ray certainly makes a lot of sense, as it’ll be able to piggyback on all the hype generated by Ron Howard’s Western-inspired anthology pic.

And at least based on this new listing uncovered by Reddit, it won’t be too long before Lucasfilm breaks the silence. First spotted by ComicBook.com, the following post alludes to a Blu-ray announcement occurring on February 20th, while the end product will seemingly include over two hours’ worth of bonus content, deleted scenes and much more.

A Carrie Fisher tribute is a shoo-in, while we imagine The Last Jedi‘s Blu-ray will also include some form of extended featurette designed to chronicle the life and legacy of Luke Skywalker, who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that the Resistance could escape Crait with their lives intact.

There’s also a good chance that this Blu-ray package will include most (if not all?) of the deleted scenes that Rian Johnson has referred to, which tells us that Star Wars enthusiasts may get a chance to see Luke’s third and final lesson, after all. Just don’t hold your breath for a director’s cut.
