The Adventures Of Tintin Blu-Ray Is Up For Pre-Order

Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin, his first foray into the world of animated films, is now up for pre-order on Amazon in two forms: Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy and Blu-Ray 3D/Blu-Ray 3D/DVD/Digital Copy. Paramount Home Entertainment hasn't officially announced a release date for the flick, which stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, but seeing as how it was released in December that would make March or April a strong target.

Steven Spielberg‘s The Adventures of Tintin, his first foray into the world of animated films, is now up for pre-order on Amazon in two forms: Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy and Blu-Ray 3D/Blu-Ray 2D/DVD/Digital Copy. Paramount Home Entertainment hasn’t officially announced a release date for the flick, which stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, but seeing as how it was released in December that would make March or April a strong target.

The film is based on the very popular European comics that inspired director Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson to bring the character and his adventures to American audiences. Despite the film getting snubbed for best animated film, Tintin has been doing well among critics, garnering positive reviews for its good use of 3D and impressive action sequences that are stringed together one after another.

Not everyone was a huge fan of the film though. Our very own Will had this to say about the film in his official review.

It breaks my heart to be cruel about a Spielberg movie because I am such a fan and I think he deserves better than he gets from the press. He has created some of the finest American films of all time and it’s such a shame that this isn’t one of them. It isn’t that The Adventures of Tintin is bad but outside of the visuals, this breaks no new ground for Spielberg. There are some very good parts in the film, but as a whole this is disappointingly unremarkable.

No special features have been announced at this time, but we’ll update you as soon as we find out more!

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
