The Mandalorian season 2 finale landed on Disney Plus today, and it gave us a heck of a lot to unpack. It featured the shock return of one of the most iconic characters in the whole Star Wars saga, the tease for a new spinoff and also delivered a surprise development in the story of the Darksaber. The legendary blade was introduced in the season 1 finale, with Moff Gideon somehow in possession of it. A year later, it's now passed into a different character's hands.

Netflix Renews Locke & Key For Season 3
Locke & Key has only aired one season to date, after premiering this past February, but Netflix clearly has enough faith in the show to renew it for a third run. The good news arrived today, as the supernatural thriller series, based on the hit comic books from Joe "Stephen King's son" Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, comes to the end of production of its second season in Toronto. With the renewal in the bag, the next outing will start filming early in 2021, ahead of it landing on the streamer at an unspecified date.

The Book Of Boba Fett Spinoff Coming To Disney Plus In December 2021
The season 2 finale of The Mandalorian dropped on Disney Plus today, and once again, the hit Star Wars show has blown up the internet. Not only does it feature the shocking return of one of the most iconic characters in the saga, but it also contains a post-credits scene which reveals that yet another new Star Wars project is on its way to the Mouse House's streaming service next year. And yes, it stars Boba Fett.

Hannibal Won’t Even Be Mentioned In Silence Of The Lambs Sequel Series
CBS is set to premiere a new TV series based on the Hannibal Lecter novels by Thomas Harris in 2021. Clarice will act as a sequel to the Oscar-winning The Silence of the Lambs and star FBI agent Clarice Starling. Famously, Jodie Foster's character consulted with Anthony Hopkins' Dr. Lecter in the 1991 hit thriller, but don't expect any appearance or even reference to the infamous cannibal in this series. The producers don't even have the rights to mention him by name, let alone feature him on screen.

Daisy Ridley Might Return As Rey For Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars Movie
Last week delivered a ton of Star Wars news, as Disney/Lucasfilm unveiled their plans for the saga for the next few years. This included the announcement of what the next SW movie will be - Rogue Squadron, as helmed by Wonder Woman filmmaker Patty Jenkins, making her the first female director in Star Wars history. It would be fitting, then, if the first female lead character in the saga's history likewise makes an appearance in the project.
