Replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is a lot easier said than done. Despite all of the talent possessed by the great young actors who are rumored to be circling the role, it's hard to imagine that any of them can live up to the lofty precedent set by the legendary 51-year-old.
The debate on how to appropriately bring Deadpool into the MCU has been waging on for a while now. It seems that there are two prevailing theories as to how this might happen. The first one includes Stephen Strange meeting Wade Wilson in Fox's X-Universe at some point during his trip through the many realities connected to the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The far more intriguing option involves the incorporation of two different Deadpools.
Ryan Reynolds has taken his fair share of beatings on the big screen. Deadpool is constantly getting decimated by his enemies in the most brutal ways, only to return stronger and funnier than ever. In real life, however, Reynolds is no Wade Wilson. He's just as human as the rest of us, albeit much better looking than most. This is why when he was hit by a drunk driver in his youth, he didn't instantly recover like the titular character in his superhero movies.
The new trailer for The Grudge has arrived and it's making us even more excited for this terrifying reboot. The three-minute teaser centers around a bone-chilling encounter between a detective and a woman named Mrs. Matheson, played by horror legend Lin Shaye (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Critters, Insidious, Ouija).
We already know that horror icon Robert Englund will be returning for the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, but we're also being told that other significant characters from the original film could be brought back as well. Just like how the upcoming Halloween sequels are bringing back actors from the first installment of their respective franchise, the franchise that put Freddy Krueger on the map could do the same thing.
Ryan Reynolds has never kept his love for Deadpool a secret. In fact, he's one of the primary reasons why the extremely popular franchise was able to get off the ground in the first place. Wade Wilson will always hold a special place in his heart, but apparently neither one of the two installments is his favorite movie in his extensive filmography. That distinction belongs to Free Guy. In his own words:
Now that the streaming wars are in full swing, Netflix knows they need to be creative if they want to maintain their spot at the top. Disney+ is surging out of the gate and while they still have a ways to go if they want to catch their primary competition, it seems possible that they could make up the ground in a couple years. Hulu, CBS All Access, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Shudder and many more are all also vying for subscribers.
It's been more than four years since acclaimed director George Miller returned to the dystopian world of Mad Max, but it feels like much longer. Mad Max: Fury Road captivated fans of the original series and endeared a whole new generation of viewers to the insane world of the titular protagonist.
The public has been begging to see the Snyder Cut of Justice League for years now. Everyone who's seen it claims that the original version of the movie is much better than what fans sat through in theaters back in 2017. One of the questions surrounding Zack Snyder's edition has always been how much of his vision actually made it into the theatrical release. Considering that the Snyder Cut is 3.5 hours long, it stands to reason that a good portion of what he put together ended up in the final product.
As if the trolls on the Internet needed any more of a reason to pile on Captain Marvel, it's just been announced that the superhero flick is the most mistake-filled film of 2019. The movie finished in a distant first with 59 mistakes, thus making it the undesirable champion of cinematic errors for this year. The Brie Larson-led feature came in well ahead of Avengers: Endgame and Midsommar, which finished in second and third place with 51 and 45 errors, respectively.
