The Irishman might be considered one of the best movies of 2019, but not every one of the over 26 million people who watched it are happy with what they saw. One of those very disgruntled viewers is Jack Goldsmith, who's the real-life stepson of Chuckie O'Brien (played by Jesse Plemons in the film). In the flick, O'Brien is depicted as Jimmy Hoffa's loyal yet distant foster son who unwittingly becomes an accomplice in the notorious gangster's murder.
A lot of horror fans were seriously bummed when the Final Destination titles left Netflix in the summer. The good news, though, is that it now appears that the absence was short-lived, as the first four entries in the franchise are currently once again available to stream on the service. That's right, every single movie in the series aside from Final Destination 5 can now be watched by anyone with a Netflix account. It's currently unknown why the last film isn't featured along with its predecessors, but hopefully it'll find its way onto the platform soon enough.
While all of our attention might currently be focused on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Disney reportedly has its eyes on rebooting another one of its intergalactic features. Fans nearly lost their minds when it was announced that renowned actor Christian Bale is circling a key role in Thor: Love and Thunder. While we still don't know who he'll be playing as of yet, it seems like the majority of the public is rooting for the Academy Award winner to portray Beta Ray Bill. There are plenty of other options that might be on the table, though, including this particularly interesting possibility: Cul, God of Fear.
The Witcher is a show's that as captivating as it's utterly confusing. As you've surely seen online, fans have argued at length about the series' timeline, which was seemingly interpretive up until today. Now, however, we have an official answer to the questions that have been plaguing us ever since the first few episodes, as Netflix recently released the official timeline that explains when everything happened.
Joaquin Phoenix is intent on practicing what he preaches. Following his rousing Golden Globes acceptance speech, the renowned actor announced that he's planning to wear the same suit to all of the big award show events this year as a way to reduce waste. The 45-year-old star has already been nominated for several big honors for his performance as the titular antihero in Joker and is expected to nab at least a few more before all is said and done.
Thor: Love and Thunder sounds like it's going to be a movie that fans definitely won't want to miss. Taika Waititi recently made the promise that it'll be even bigger than and twice as crazy as Thor: Ragnarok. This is definitely a bold claim, but has since been backed up by all of the reports we're receiving on it. And now we know that there'll be two major villains in the flick.
Vanessa Carlysle was largely absent from Deadpool 2. After she was killed off in the first few minutes, Wade Wilson spends a lot of the movie trying to come to terms with her death. The entire plot line was an unexpectedly dark turn for a franchise that's known for its comedy.
