31 Disc Harry Potter Blu-Ray Set Revealed

Yup, you read that right. A 31 disc Blu-Ray set for the Harry Potter franchise has been revealed. Amazon is telling us that Warner Bros. will be releasing the Harry Potter Wizards Collection, a 31-disc box set that includes all eight films in the series. Retail price is $499.99 but you can pre-order it now for as low as $349.99.

Here’s a detailed list of what’s included:

  • Contains 31 discs, inclusive of all content ever previously released, in addition to over 5 hours of never before seen special features, in a limited and numbered edition.
  • 18 movie discs
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone Theatrical Version and Extended Cut
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Theatrical Version and Extended Cut
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 2D and 3D Versions
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 2D and 3D Versions
  • 13 Special feature discs
  • Includes multiple specially-produced, collectable memorabilia items, including concept art, a Map of Hogwarts and much more!

No exact release date has been announced but it will arrive sometime this year.

With that incredibly high price tag, this set is likely only for diehard fans. That being said, it would make a great addition to any Blu-Ray collection and my interest is certainly piqued. Guess I better start saving now eh?

  1. Chadsays:

You’d have to really like Harry Potter to be able to justify this kind of expense for a simple Blu-ray set. Think of what else $350-500 could buy, which is much more worthwhile than this. For example, an average HDTV.

And, by simple, I mean that it’s a box with discs inside of it. Sure, it’s unique with regards to size, but the packaging doesn’t look to be anything special.

      1. Yeah, I’ve been slowly buying the Ultimate sets for each film. I have 1 through 4, and will be getting 5 and 6 with each new paycheck. I don’t think they’ve released 7 (part 1 or 2) yet, but I’m sure they’re coming.
