The Amazing Spider-Man was one of the biggest hits of the summer, but now that it’s being phased out of theaters, fans are stuck waiting for the Blu-Ray release before they can resume watching the movie over and over again. On that note, good news comes our way today, as we now have official word on a November 9th release date for The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-Ray and a shot of the cover image, thanks to Comic Book Movie.
The first set will include 2 Blu-ray discs, 1 DVD copy, and a digital copy of the film.
Although we still don’t have many details regarding what features will for sure be included, it is rumored that there will at least be deleted scenes and alternate takes, audio commentaries with cast and crew, “The Oscorp Archives – Art and Promotional Materials Gallery”, screen tests, and stunt rehearsals. A pre-order of the set will also come with a Lizard figurine.
The cover is nothing spectacular, but it is a quality image showcasing the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man as he web-slings through the city.
Being that this is one of my favorite movies of the summer, I have been anxiously awaiting news regarding the Blu-Ray release details. The date is basically what can be expected for an early July film, but it is good to see it officially set. Hopefully the deleted scenes included will be extensive and have some high quality footage, because I couldn’t get enough of Marc Webb’s take on the Spidey universe.
Check out the cover below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
