UFC legend Randy Couture and actor Dominic Purcell star in this latest straight-to-home video airplane actioner Hijacked, directed by Brandon Nutt. The film comes to Blu-Ray and DVD on July 31st, 2012.

We previously posted a trailer and a clip from the film and now we have two more clips featuring our action stars flexing their acting chops, while taking out a few baddies in the process.

I’m not usually one for this grade of film, but occasionally something like Hijacked can provide you with 2 hours of mindless entertainment and nonstop laughter. The acting looks cheesy and over-the-top, while the violence looks painfully rendered in CGI and not all that creative. I’m willing to give this one a shot, but only because Hijacked could become something of an underground classic.

Clip one is titled Cargo Hold and it briefly shows Couture and Purcell as they tussle with a possible rogue agent. It’s too quick to really be commented on, but the bomb reveal towards the end of the clip is hilarious and reminds me of something I’d watch on a made-for-TV movie. Check out the clip below:

Clip two is titled Hostages and it reveals the clever side of the film, with both men fooling one of the bad guys into thinking that Purcell is in need of medical assistance. This clip is much better than the first, because it gives us a look at the grade A acting ability Mr. Couture is bringing to the table, while also letting us snag a peek at what an on-plane movie theater looks like! Whoa, that’s one badass looking plane! Check out the clip below:

Hijacked streets this Tuesday, which means everyone will be able to enjoy this exhilarating new action picture starring some of the finest talent working in the field today, including Vinnie Jones and Craig Fairbrass.

Here’s a snippet from the press release to keep you on your toes until we post our official review for the film sometime this week!

A high-octane, pulse-pounding story of one man out for justice in the sky, HIJACKED is coming to Blu-ray™ ComboPack and DVD on July 31st. HIJACKED stars a top-notch cast of action heroes including former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture (The Expendables, and the upcoming The Expendables 2), Dominic Purcell (Straw Dogs, “Prison Break”), Tiffany Dupont (“Greek”), Holt McCallany (Fight Club), Craig Fairbrass (The Bank Job) and Vinnie Jones (Snatch, Kill The Irishman).

Special Agent Ross’ (Couture) plans to reconcile with his ex-fiancée are ruined when she boards a private jet that is targeted by hijackers working for the same crime lord that he is chasing. With no time to inform his team, Ross wriggles his way aboard the aircraft and risks it all to save the love of his life. HIJACKED is an adrenaline-fueled action-packed film that puts the fear back in flying!

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
