Eastbound & Down: The Complete Third Season For Blu-Ray In December

Recommended Videos

HBO will be bringing season 3 of Jody Hill’s comedy TV show Eastbound & Down to Blu-Ray in December. The show stars Danny McBride and Steve Little.

One of the funniest and most absurd comedies on premium cable is clearly Jody Hill’s Eastbound & Down. His show follows loudmouth and former baseball pro Kenny Powers (McBride) as he gets himself into all sorts of inappropriate situations. The show is most popular for its immature gags and hateful jokes, but that’s exactly what Jody Hill (Observe and Report) and his star Danny McBride are known for.

I’ve been a fan of the two ever since The Foot Fist Way. I think Hill’s particular brand of comedy works very well on the television format, because it allows for quicker jokes to be delivered on a more consistent basis with the 30 minute structure per episode.

Season 1 and 2 were great, with 3 being a slight disappointment. That being said, I’m still holding out for the eventual announcement of season 4, even though 3 came to a close feeling somewhat complete.

The third season will be coming to Blu-Ray in 1080p, with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track and the following bonus material:

  • Bloopers Reel
  • Deleted Scenes
  • “Dinner at Schaeffer’s”
  • 8 Audio commentaries with Danny McBride, Jody Hill, Steve Little & David Gordon Green

The third season of Eastbound & Down will be available to own on December 4th, 2012.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
