House At The End Of The Street Coming To Blu-Ray In January

PG-13 horror movies are the absolute worst and Mark Tonderai's House at the End of the Street is no exception. It's actually one of the worst PG-13-rated horror films I've seen in the past five years. It's just a bad movie through-and-through and I cannot believe The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence even bothered attaching herself to the project. This probably happened long before she signed onto Silver Linings Playbook.

Fox has announced the horror film House at the End of the Street for Blu-Ray in January. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Elisabeth Shue and Max Thieriot.

PG-13 horror movies are the absolute worst and Mark Tonderai’s House at the End of the Street is no exception. It’s actually one of the worst PG-13-rated horror films I’ve seen in the past five years. It’s just a bad movie through-and-through and I cannot believe The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence even bothered attaching herself to the project. This probably happened long before she signed onto Silver Linings Playbook.

House at the End of the Street has poor structure and several weak reveals that manage to continue topping each other. Just thinking about it gives me the shakes.

Our very own Jonathan Lack didn’t care for it much either. Here’s what he said in his review:

House at the End of the Street is a thoroughly awful and unpleasant horror film, one that attempts to affect its unlucky audience by trading in abuse, sadism, and general human misery. It is a dreadful experience.

Fox will be bringing the film to Blu-Ray with an all-new unreleased unrated cut of the film, which will probably serve more as a marketing ploy than anything. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack will also come with the following bonus material:

  • Original Trailer
  • Journey Into Terror: Inside the House at the End of the Street
  • Trailers for other 20th Century Fox Releases

House at the End of the Street will be available to own on January 8th, 2013.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
