Sony has announced David Cronenberg‘s latest film titled A Dangerous Method for Blu-Ray in March. The film depicts the partnership between two of the most influential psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender).  Also starring is Keira Knightley and Vincent Cassel.

I have yet to find a chance to see the film, but our very own Kristal Cooper reviewed the film and had this to say.

Ultimately, A Dangerous Method is just too safe for its own title. It’s beautifully crafted and abundant with subtext but it’s also sterile, dramatically turgid and at times, kind of a drag. In point of fact, it’s about as far from dangerous as one can get, and coming from Cronenberg, that’s a real disappointment.

Sony has yet to reveal the bonus features or technical specs at this time, but one can assume a 1080p video transfer and a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track.

A Dangerous Method will hit Blu-Ray on March 13th, 2012.
