Happy International Star Wars Day everyone!!! May the 4th be with you!!! In honor of today, Lucasfilm has announced the official date for the release of the complete Star Wars saga on Blu-ray, the date is September 16th.
Not only do we now have a date, but we’ve also learned of some of the exciting special features that will be available on this 9-disc set, which include: audio commentary from Archival Interviews with Cast and Crew; deleted, extended and alternate scenes; prop, maquette and costume turnarounds; matte paintings and concept art; and more.
The set will also include never-before-seen featurettes, such as: “A Conversation with the Masters” – George Lucas, Irvin Kershner, Lawrence Kasdan and John Williams look back at the making of The Empire Strikes Back 30 years later; “The Making of Stars Wars” – Learn how the original was brought to the big screen; a collection of Star Wars spoofs and much more!
Also, for those of you who are like me and only like the original trilogy, The Original Trilogy and The Prequels Trilogy will also be available separately on Blu-ray.
So be sure to own the ultimate High Definition experience with Stars Wars: The Complete Saga when it lands on Blu-ray internationally on September 12th and in North America on September 16th.
