Starfire Hones Her Skills In New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract Clip

I'm secure in saying that I'm probably not the only one who feels like the wait between DC animated movies feels like an eternity, even if they're only mere months apart. I’m secure in saying that I’m probably not the only one who thinks the wait between DC animated movies feels like an eternity, even if they’re only mere months apart. With but a few weeks to go until the release of Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, the folks at DC All Access have thankfully tided us over with a new clip and other goodies.

Although said footage treads very far from spoiler territory, it’s pretty cool to see some fresh content nonetheless, especially when you factor in that it involves Starfire. Up until Justice League vs. Teen Titans, she was a character that was really only hinted at in other related films, so it’s nice to see a version of her that’s more mature than what you’d find on a series airing on Cartoon Network be explored.

On that note, co-host Whitney Moore sits down with the voice behind Starfire, Kari Wahlgren, to discuss what’s in store for her character. While she doesn’t want to give away much, she does reaffirm that the adaptation is pretty faithful to the beloved comic written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Perez, but does hint that a few surprises may be in store. Furthermore, Starfire and Nightwing vying for team leadership is teased, which should be doubly intriguing given that they share a romantic history.

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract will be made available via Digital HD on April 4, with the Blu-ray and DVD releases following on April 18. Or, if you happen to be at WonderCon next weekend, you can catch the world premiere.
