WB Bringing Rock Of Ages To Blu-Ray In October

Rock of Ages might be one of the biggest summer bombs of this year, but just how bad was it? I never bothered seeing it, mostly because I don't care for musicals, but also because the film just looked horrid. Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Paul Giamatti led an all-star cast that also included a cameo appearance by Tom Cruise.

Warner Brothers Home Entertainment have announced Adam Shankman’s latest musical Rock of Ages for Blu-Ray in October.

Rock of Ages might be one of the biggest summer bombs of this year. I never bothered seeing it, mostly because I don’t care for musicals, but also because the film looked absolutely horrid. It didn’t do too well at the box office and reviews were mediocre at best.

Our very own Kristal Cooper had this to say about the film in her official review:

Far from being a true “Juke Box Hero,” Rock of Ages still manages to delight with its own giddy brand of utter stupidity.

It looks like Rock of Ages might be one primarily for musical fans and not exactly something worth checking out for the rest of us.

The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack will come with an extended version of the film, plus the original theatrical cut and the following bonus material:

  • Rock of Ages: Legends of the Sunset Strip
  • The Stories We Sing
  • Defining A Decade
  • The 80’s Look
  • It’s All About The Moves
  • Stripping Miami
  • The Tease
  • If You Build It, They Will Rock It
  • Connection to The Music
  • So It Started In A Bar
  • Any Way You Want It
  • Visit Florida
  • Selected Songs

Rock of Ages will street on October 9th, 2012.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
