Still reeling from the revelation of Logan‘s cute Sabertooth Easter egg? The media dump doesn’t end there, as YouTube user Campeon River has uncovered a further five deleted scenes from James Mangold’s R-rated thriller ahead of its impending Blu-release. Speaking of which, today also brings forth a gripping new promo bearing the simple, yet effective message: “His time has come.”
Due to claw its way on to Blu-ray and DVD on May 23rd – Wolvie’s last stand is available via Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes from tomorrow, May 16th – We Got This Covered is currently hosting a giveaway for Logan, but more on that later. When it comes to those aforementioned deleted scenes, we’ll kindly point you in the direction of River’s YouTube channel, as none of the five videos are available to embed. And though it almost goes without saying, don’t make the jump unless you’ve seen Logan in its entirety, lest you spoil Hugh Jackman’s last hurrah in those adamantium claws after 17 wonderful years.
Indeed, Logan proved to be a fittingly emotional finale for the Aussie, who brought the enraged mutant to life a record nine times over the course of two decades, and we struggle to imagine any actor or actress emulating that record anytime soon – if ever. Couple this with the fact that Jackman accepted a pay cut to help force Logan into production and it means that Wolverine’s swan song will live long in the memory of not only X-Men diehards, but moviegoers the world over, and we’re excited to see James Mangold’s harrowing thriller through the lens of a black-and-white cut in two weeks’ time.
