Hayden Christensen’s performance as Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels may not have been universally well-received, but the completion of his journey from naive Padawan to dark lord remains one of the most memorable moments from the movies. In Revenge of the Sith, Christensen wore the iconic Darth Vader suit for the only time and now, this new fan art seeks to flesh out what he would’ve looked like under Vader’s mask.
Colin Farrell will become cinema’s third Penguin when he takes on the role in The Batman. Official photos of him in character have yet to be released, so for now it’s up to the internet’s ever creative creatives to give us an impression of how he could look. This new fan art from Will Gray does just that:
All the chatter regarding Batwoman’s second season has justifiably been on the departure of Ruby Rose, and her subsequent replacement by Javicia Leslie. But there are plenty more roles to fill ahead of another 20+ episode run. According to a new rumour, one of Gotham City’s most disturbed denizens could be introduced in Batwoman’s sophomore year. CBM report that a casting call has been put out for “Jacob Zsasz”, a part that comes with this description:
There’s only one thing on the minds of DC fans this week. Yes, the DC FanDome event lands this Saturday, August 22nd, and it’s promising to be spectacular. Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad, The Batman, Black Adam... those are just some of the movies that’ll be heavily featured. However, for all the attention those titles will get, I suspect none will get more than Zack Snyder’s Justice League, aka the Snyder Cut.
One of 2020’s most-anticipated horror movies is a sequel to cult 90s slasher Candyman. The new film will see Tony Todd return to the eponymous role of a hook-handed spirit who brings violence to naïve Chicago residents. Ahead of its release, Universal (via Total Film) have now shared a batch of new photos, giving us our best look yet at Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Anthony McCoy, and his appearance suggests a rather sinister change in his character.
It’s been 10 years since the world was introduced to The Expendables, an eye-catching ensemble of veteran action stars attempting to rekindle the B-movie thrills of their younger years. Dolph Lundgren, who has featured in all three Expendables to date, has now taken to Instagram to commemorate the anniversary, while also paying tribute to his co-star Sylvester Stallone.
Batman fans, you’ve seen some inspired casting choices over the years, as well as your fair share of dubious ones. Michael Caine as Alfred, utterly perfect. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, that was a low point. Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, yeah, I can see where they were coming from. So, let’s give artist Carlos Gzz a moment to make his case for introducing another famous face onto the streets of Gotham, as his new fan art imagines pop superstar Lady Gaga as Poison Ivy.
Another weekend rolls into view, and another batch of new movies and shows rolls onto the various streaming services.
