WB Reportedly Trying To Bring Back Will Smith As Deadshot In DCEU
2016's Suicide Squad might not be the greatest DCEU film, but it did introduce two new characters into the franchise that fans loved - Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Will Smith's Deadshot. And while Robbie has become a major star of the cinematic universe, we haven't seen Smith return as Floyd Lawton. After the actor turned down the chance to reprise his role in The Suicide Squad, Idris Elba took over as the sequel's male lead. But Warner Bros. hasn't given up hope of coaxing him back into the fold just yet.

Tobey Maguire And Andrew Garfield Reportedly Still Set For Spider-Man: No Way Home
Once we discovered that Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third solo outing for Tom Holland's wall-crawler, would feature not only Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange but familiar villains from the Spider-Verse, it didn't take much for fans to become convinced that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were also returning as their versions of the web-slinger for a mega three-way crossover. But the wind was taken out of our sails when Holland himself announced that the pair are not in the movie.

Justice League Writer Says The Reshoots Caused Him To Fall Into Depression
Justice League writer Chris Terrio has revealed that Warner Bros. removing him and director Zack Snyder from the movie caused him to fall into depression. Terrio became one of Hollywood's hottest screenwriters thanks to Argo, which established his recurring working relationship with Ben Affleck. This got him the job of working alongside Snyder on Batman v Superman, a partnership that carried over into the team-up flick. But little of Terrio's original script ended up in the film's theatrical cut, released in 2017.

Paramount Reportedly Bringing Back More Classic Villains In Star Trek: Picard
At the start of this week, we were treated to our first teaser trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 2, which came with the revelation that John de Lancie is set to reprise his role of Q. The first run of Patrick Stewart's big Trek returning heavily featured the Borg, so its sophomore outing is continuing an apparent tradition of bringing a classic villain from The Next Generation back. And sure enough, we're now hearing that these two familiar foes are just the tip of the iceberg.

New Spider-Man And Venom Movies Will Stream Exclusively On Netflix
In the US, nearly every single MCU movie can be found on Disney Plus. The only exceptions are Universal's The Incredible Hulk and the two Sony co-productions made to date, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home. Fans had been hoping that the studios would be able to broker a deal for these latter two films, but unfortunately, that option has now been effectively ruled out, as Sony has signed a major new deal for Netflix to exclusively stream its productions from 2022 onward.

Batman: The Long Halloween Part One Gets Official Release Date
Batman: The Long Halloween has definitely shot up the list to become one of DC fans' most-anticipated releases of 2021. We didn't know much about the two-part adaptation of the seminal graphic novel by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale until a couple of weeks ago, but over the past little while we've had a first look trailer and discovered the A-list cast, led by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles as the Dark Knight himself. Now, Part One's release date has been officially revealed.

A Great Marvel Movie Has Been Removed From Disney Plus
A popular X-Men movie has been removed from Disney Plus. The Mouse House's streaming platform has a virtually complete collection of MCU movies by this point, but its roster of X-Men films is sketchier. Unfortunately, even when they finally make it on to the site they are taken down again at some point later, due to other licensing agreements being in place. Case in point, The Wolverine is no longer available on D+ in the United States as of last Friday, April 2nd.
