Jaimie Alexander Teases Her MCU Return As Sif In 2021
In December, we finally found out that Jaimie Alexander is returning to the MCU as Lady Sif after several years away. The Blindspot actress has been confirmed to star as the Asgardian warrior in Thor: Love and Thunder, but there's been a lot of talk of her appearing in Disney Plus' Loki TV series beforehand, too. And Alexander herself seems to be hinting at just that happening in a recent New Year's post on social media.

Star Trek: Discovery’s Latest Episode Is The Franchise’s 800th Entry
With just one outing left to go of its third season, Star Trek: Discovery has reached a monumental milestone for the Trek franchise. Episode 3x12 "There Is A Tide..." can be classified as the 800th entry in the sci-fi juggernaut's canon. If you include every instalment of the various previous Trek series and all the theatrical movies (so just the screen content, and not the many comics, novels and games out there), you get 37 seasons' worth of television spread across 10 TV shows as well as 13 movies, spanning 54 years.

Alita: Battle Angel Sequel Reportedly More Likely Now After The Mandalorian
Alita: Battle Angel opened to mixed reviews when it released back in early 2019, but it managed to inspire a devoted fanbase who haven't stopped fighting to get it a sequel ever since. Based on its $400 million box office gross, 20th Century Fox probably would've developed a follow-up if it wasn't for the Disney takeover of the studio. To date, though, the Mouse House has been reluctant to move forward with the franchise, but things may be changing, according to the latest intel.

Doctor Who Fans Are Distraught After Two Companions Exit In New Year’s Special
Doctor Who returned for a one-off special this New Year's Day and, while there was a lot of fun to be had from the inclusion of John Barrowman's Captain Jack and a Dalek civil war, "Revolution of the Daleks" ended on a heartbreaking note as not one, but two of the Thirteenth Doctor's best friends left the show. As we knew going into the episode, both Ryan (Tosin Cole) and Graham (Bradley Walsh) exited the TARDIS, breaking up the Time Lord's so-called "fam" that has been at the heart of the series since 2018.

Doctor Who Special May Have Teased A Torchwood Revival
The most hyped part of the Doctor Who New Year's special, "Revolution of the Daleks," was the return of John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness for the first time on screen since Torchwood ended in 2011. Whovians have always been campaigning for a revival of the adult-themed spinoff show, but so far nothing has materialized. The open ended way Jack is written out of the special, though, seems to suggest that some kind of revival or reboot could be on the cards.

Pedro Pascal is officially the most popular star in the world right now. December was a crazy busy month for the actor, as he featured in not just one or even two, but three major projects which have released over the past few weeks. Disney Plus' The Mandalorian wrapped up its hit second season before Christmas and on December 25th, Wonder Woman 1984 debuted on HBO Max while We Can Be Heroes went up on Netflix.
