Marvel Officially Announces Fantastic Four Reboot, Jon Watts To Direct
We've known it was happening for a while, but Marvel Studios has finally made it official. A Fantastic Four reboot is in the works. Kevin Feige teased that Marvel's First Family would be reimagined within the MCU, following Disney getting the rights to the franchise via their Fox buyout, at Comic-Con 2019. It's taken until December 2020, though, for the news to become 100% confirmed at Disney's Investor's Day event.

Disney's Investor Day event is bringing all kinds of announcements from the Mouse House our way, including a ton of Marvel news. Case in point: MCU fans have been waiting for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV series for a long time, but unfortunately, it was held up due to the pandemic. We've been left unsure when we were finally going to get to see it, but now we know it's coming in March. And the release date was announced along with our first full trailer for the show.

Watch: Star Wars: The Bad Batch Trailer Teases A Thrilling Adventure
Today's a good day to be a Star Wars fan, as Lucasfilm announced a whole handful of new TV series set in that galaxy far, far away that are coming to Disney Plus in the not-so-distant future. Most of these aren't at the stage to reveal footage yet, but we did get our first trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the next animated show from the makers of The Clone Wars and Rebels.

The first (very short) teaser for the Percy Jackson reboot has been revealed. After getting the rights to the best-selling YA franchise from Fox, Disney set about putting a new TV series in the works based on the books. As headed for Disney Plus, creator Rick Riordan is heavily involved with the project this time, unlike the earlier two movies directed by Chris Columbus, which fans have often criticized for the changes made to the source material.

Netflix Developing New Sonic The Hedgehog Animated Series
A new Sonic the Hedgehog TV series is apparently on its way to Netflix. SEGA's superstar rodent is enjoying a major resurgence in popularity right now thanks to the success of Paramount's live-action movie, starring Ben Schwartz as the voice of the hedgehog and James Marsden as his human pal, which arrived earlier this year. And along with a sequel being in the works, Sonic is about to feature in his own CG-animated series, too.

New Mandalorian Theory Suggests Din Djarin Is The True Heir To The Darksaber
An intriguing new theory suggests there could be another surprise twist to come in the lineage of the Darksaber on The Mandalorian. Moff Gideon was revealed to have somehow got his hands on the ancient weapon in the season 1 finale of the hit Star Wars show, which was the saber's live-action debut following its prominent appearances in The Clone Wars and Rebels. Gideon was once again shown to wield it in last week's Chapter 14.

Star Trek: Discovery Officially Makes The Kelvin Timeline Canon
The latest episode of Star Trek: Discovery featured a major revelation which has officially made the Kelvin timeline movies canon. Starting with 2009's Star Trek, director J.J. Abrams and his team begun a brand new continuity for the franchise which was separate from the one established with The Original Series. CBS All Access' contemporary Trek shows have reverted to the prime timeline, but Discovery has now made an effort to bridge the two universes.
