Though the Man of Steel has been known for breaking out of chains in the past, it was today that he broke the internet when word came down that Henry Cavill is vacating his role as the silver screen's version of Superman. Of course, the veracity of the news is still being debated, but it's important that we consider the source is the highly respected Hollywood Reporter.
Not long ago, we learned that the seventh season of Arrow will push the boundaries of what The CW's censors will allow, but we didn't really get any specifics. I mean, there were also hints being dropped regarding it being the darkest season to air since the first, though you can never be too sure until it's actually showtime.
As wildly popular and successful as Supernatural has proven to be (it’s been renewed for a fourteenth season, after all), the seemingly immortal horror series has yet to produce a spinoff that’s made it beyond the backdoor pilot stage. So far, both “Bloodlines” and “Wayward Sisters” failed to gain enough traction with the fanbase as to allow for an offshoot, even if I assumed the latter was pretty much a lock.
Despite Legends of Tomorrow sitting out this fall's major Arrowverse crossover, it appears as though there'll still be some cross-pollination between the time traveling superhero show and its sister series. In fact, it looks like a certain stuffed animal the fanbase took to last year will make a comeback of sorts on Earth-38.
Having already treated us to a new trailer and promotional poster this month, it looks as though The CW aren't through spoiling us with goodies pertaining to The Flash's fifth season. This time, they deliver with a heck of a lot of images taken from the premiere episode, which has been appropriately titled "Nora."
As the season premiere of Arrow draws nearer, it's looking like we can expect to see more changes once the series picks up. Aside from a new Emerald Archer parading around Star City (which I'm still saying is Roy Harper), Felicity Smoak has apparently gotten a bit of a makeover herself.
Whether or not Ben Affleck reprises his role as the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves' Batman film, the fact of the matter is that he'll pass the torch he inherited at some point. As per usual, the excitement that surrounds pondering who'll be Gotham City's next protector has already started heating up.
These days, Supernatural has more so become reliant on its own ever-expanding mythology, but what originally attracted me to the horror series during its earliest of seasons was how it took influence from cultural folklore and urban legends. Being someone who grew up on Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Unsolved Mysteries, it was only natural that I became hooked on Sam and Dean Winchester's adventures.
Though John Constantine is no stranger to dealing with the beast with many names, the bisexual exorcist has been known to make the beast with two backs on occasion. That said, it'll be a long time before Legends of Tomorrow viewers forget about his tryst with Sara Lance last season.
