No matter what happens with the Spider-Man rights, Sony is determined to keep mapping out a future with the characters currently in their arsenal. Following the massive success of Venom last year, the studio will reportedly continue on the path of villain origin stories with a feature centering around Hobgoblin. At least, that's according to our sources, who say executives at the company are already in the early stages of developing a film based around the infamous bad guy.
It sounds like Kevin Hart is thankfully going to be making a full recovery following his horrific car crash earlier this month. Unfortunately, though, now it's time for some of the harsh realities to set in, as the comedian is reportedly facing serious legal consequences stemming from the accident that injured both him and two others in the vehicle.
Now that Harry Styles has officially turned down the role of Prince Eric, Disney is currently scouting out another rising star to play Ariel's love interest in The Little Mermaid. According to our sources, two of the names reportedly being eyed to fill the part are Timothée Chalamet and Jordan Fisher. Nothing is official as of yet, but we've been told that these actors are in the running to star in the highly-anticipated live-action project.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get a whole lot bigger. According to our sources (the same ones who told us that the Cosmic Ghost Rider was coming to the MCU, which was confirmed by the studio this week), Kevin Feige really likes the idea of a Midnight Sons movie. Though nothing appears imminent, the introduction of the crime-fighting squad to the already expansive cinematic landscape would definitely be interesting.
Earlier this month, We Got This Covered reported that the folks over at Marvel wanted to introduce the Cosmic Ghost Rider into the MCU at some point in the near future. That report was then semi-confirmed this week by MCU Cosmic, who said that Ghost Rider may indeed make his presence known on the big screen soon, but they couldn't confirm which version of the character we'd see. Now, however, our sources - the same ones who told us about that Arrow spinoff back in March before Variety confirmed it today - have provided some clarification on the matter, explaining that Kevin Feige and co. want Johnny Blaze in the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with Cosmic Ghost Rider, meaning we could potentially get two versions of the hero.
Pennywise the clown from It: Chapter Two seems to terrorize the Losers' Club no matter where they go in the town of Derry, Maine. Apparently, that includes the local Starbucks. The coffeehouse chain is getting into the Halloween spirit a bit early this year by selling It-themed frappuccinos. Now customers can be frightened by the horrifying clown even if they don't live in Derry!
All signs point to the upcoming Saw reboot being a big success. The star power of Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson should draw many moviegoers to the theater, as well as the name recognition of the prolific horror franchise. The release date has already been moved up by five months due to all the hype, meaning that the studio anticipates this film to be a big hit. In fact, Lionsgate is already developing sequels to the flick in hopes that the box office numbers can justify an entire series.
The last Friday the 13th was one for the ages. No, we're not talking about the dreadful 2009 remake of the horror classic. We quite literally mean Friday, September 13th. It was the first spooky calendar occurrence of 2019 and also happened to fall on a full moon, the 50th anniversary of Scooby-Doo and the day that fans celebrate the long-running series Supernatural.
Despite warnings from the FBI and the Air Force, there were still people who showed at Area 51 today to try to raid the top-secret government facility. Around 40 people attempted to storm the area from the Amargosa Valley overnight, prompting Sheriff's deputies to arrive at the scene in order to dispatch them. Thankfully, this is much less than the 1.5 million who originally committed to the event or else this might've ended much worse.
Rambo is one of the most iconic action heroes in cinematic history. That being said, his legacy sounds like it's about to end on a really horrible note. The reviews for Rambo: Last Blood are in and they're not great. In fact, they're downright bad. Even the original author behind the beloved character agrees with what the critics are saying. Best-selling novelist David Morrell even went so far as to say that he thinks "the film is a mess" and that he's embarrassed to have his name associated with it.
