Captain America’s send-off at the end of Avengers: Endgame was a fitting tribute to the leader of the super-group. Chris Evans’ run in the MCU came to a graceful conclusion, with most loose ends being tied up as he guided us, and the Russos, through the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But has Steve Rogers uttered his last “Avengers Assemble!” of the series? Maybe not, as a new MCU theory suggests that Cap might just play a brief role in Black Widow.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has managed to create some of the most memorable on-screen superhero personalities, but when it comes to villains, the list of good antagonists is a lot shorter. Most people would agree that Josh Brolin’s performance as Thanos is easily the most enthralling one. His popularity might also explain why there’s so much buzz around the possibility of The Mad Titan returning in future MCU movies. While his next appearance hasn’t been confirmed by Marvel yet, our sources have heard a thing or two.
Ryan Reynolds is a lot of things: a great actor, a social media laugh riot, owner of cellphone carrier company Mint Mobile and a great husband and father (we’re just making an assumption on that one, but it’s a relatively safe one). Moreover, we love him for how hard he lampoons Green Lantern and how he champions the awesome Deadpool movie franchise. But I do think his latest move is one that is truly deserving of praise, cementing his reputation as an all-around nice guy.
The PlayStation Blog has announced that Spider-Man is being added to the roster of Marvel's Avengers, but is exclusive to the PS4/PS5 versions of the game.
The MCU’s version of Thor definitely ranks among the most powerful characters to have appeared in the franchise's movies, and Mjolnir plays a huge role in the hero's identity. Though he eventually comes to the realization that he’s the God of Thunder not the God of Hammers in Thor: Ragnarok, it's still an incredibly powerful relic in Norse mythology that helps him channel his strength. There’s also one ability from the comics in particular that could’ve given Thor a huge advantage while defending the universe from cosmic-level threats, but for some reason, it was never used in the films.
Netflix’s newest series is decidedly a hit, with Warrior Nun reportedly returning for at least a second and third season. The show follows the journey of Ava Silva, played by Alba Baptista, a quadriplegic teen who dies and is resurrected by a powerful artifact called a Halo. With it comes a host of powers like the ability to phase through walls and hyper-healing (à la Wolverine), among other things, and the onus of leading a squad of battle-hardened nuns with the sole purpose of keeping the world safe from demons – a responsibility Ava proceeds to run away from for most of the first season.
