Ghost Rider is coming back to our screens in the near future. Though Marvel hasn't officially announced this, reports have been swirling for a while that the studio has plans for the Spirit of Vengeance. Gabriel Luna previously played the Robbie Reyes version in TV's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. While a comeback for him remains to be seen, Marvel is most likely going to introduce the original rider, Johnny Blaze.
Not everyone was unanimous in their praise for this year's adaptation of NetherRealm's infamously gory fighting game franchise, but Mortal Kombat certainly proved, at the very least, that a healthy appetite exists for more adventures in Earthrealm.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set to introduce a brand-new hero into the MCU, in the form of Simu Liu's titular martial arts master. We're expecting this to be just the beginning of Liu's Marvel career, then, with sequels and crossovers and team-up projects no doubt coming his way. And it's likely that other major players from Shang-Chi's origins movie could be returning, too.
While the DCEU just keeps on growing, the future of the Justice League in the franchise is unclear. Zack Snyder's pretty much ruled out the notion of him directing any sequels, which leaves the likelihood that the iconic superhero team will eventually be rebooted. In Snyder's Justice League, Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne was the driving force behind the group coming together. Given the Bat's popularity, it's no surprise that the next incarnation of the Dark Knight could be at the center of a rebooted team, too.
The future of Star Wars in live-action seems strongly connected to its past in animation. The Mandalorian season 2 introduced animated characters like Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano into live-action for the first time, with the latter going on to star in her own spinoff series. The Rosario Dawson vehicle is fully expected to follow on from the ending of Star Wars Rebels and follow the Togrutan heroine's search for missing Jedi Ezra Bridger.
