Now that the highly anticipated release of Batman and Harley Quinn is finally upon us, the folks at Warner Bros. are sending out one last reminder to fans in the form of a previously unreleased clip. Having already seen the animated film in its entirety for myself, I can say with certainty this particular excerpt gives potential viewers a good idea of what awaits them.
I’m not going to give away too much because I realize the majority of you reading this have probably yet to get your hands on a copy, but it’s already well known that Batman, Harley Quinn and Nightwing make up the core of this movie. Really, despite the threat posed by Poison Ivy and the Floronic Man looming, you’re going to have to get used to seeing this dysfunctional trio working together.
As for the clip itself, it swiftly follows a moment in the flick when, to put it mildly, Harley did something the Dark Knight wasn’t quite pleased with, thus prompting him to give her an earful. Not surprisingly, she doesn’t take it in stride, reminding him she’s doing this “pro boner.”
Dirty pun aside, it’s best that you’re forewarned much raunchy humor awaits in the film itself. Granted, Harley has a bit more of a foul mouth than Standards and Practices allowed for on Batman: The Animated Series, but what’s offered isn’t at all unfamiliar to those who read her comics. By now, you should be well aware of her penchant for the irreverent.
