The extended cut of Suicide Squad is now available on Digital HD, and while it doesn’t sound like it adds anywhere near as much to the movie as Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s Ultimate Edition did, there are definitely some notable extra scenes in there.

To promote the release of the film on home video, Warner Bros. has debuted a brief new featurette today which focuses on the comic book history of Harley Quinn and how it relates to the movie. If you’re unfamiliar with the source material, the video serves as a handy primer, but even longtime fans of all things DC will find something to enjoy here.

Despite the mixed critical reaction to Suicide Squad, pretty much everyone agreed that Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was a definite highlight. That probably explains why she’s set to take the lead in the movie of her own, a project which we recently learned will be based on Birds of Prey and has already found a writer.

The future of Suicide Squad, on the other hand, isn’t as clear. It was definitely successful enough to warrant a sequel though, and chances are that Warner Bros. is just re-thinking their approach to the property after the way fans and critics responded to the David Ayer-helmed release. At this point, we really wouldn’t be surprised if they still decide to move ahead with a second outing for Task Force X, and if we’re being honest, we’re kind of hoping that they do.
