This is in contrast to what fans expected when it was revealed a few weeks back that Warner Bros. Television would not be dedicating a panel to Gotham, unlike other DC shows such as Arrow, The Flash and KryptonThe official Comic-Con International website, however, has now posted the programming schedule for the first two days of the event, including a full rundown of the WBTV presentation due to take place on Wednesday the 18th.

As well as revealing that there’ll be a sneak peak at The CW’s dystopian drama The 100 and a screening of some episodes of the second season of the Arrowverse animated series Freedom Fighters: The Ray, the description drops the bombshell that a bit of Gotham will be shown off as well.

Though not much has been revealed about the next run just yet, we do know that Gotham season 5 is set to “go all the way” in transitioning the teenage Bruce Wayne into his crime-fighting career as the Dark Knight. We also know that there’ll be more of Bruce and Selina Kyle’s romance and Jim Gordon will finally get his iconic mustache. New villains to look out for, meanwhile, include Scarface and the Ventriloquist, as well as the introduction of Orphan. Overall, the shape of the season will be inspired by the Zero Year comic book arc.

With just 10 episodes, a sharp decrease from the typical 22 episode run, Gotham is set to go into production sometime this month before returning to Fox one final time in January. As for that Comic-Con sneak peek, hopefully it’ll surface online, but we wouldn’t hold our breath.
