Deadpool 2 Trailer

The Merc Comes To Blu-Ray In This New Deadpool 2 Promo

Despite being shuffled into arguably the most hazardous window of release ever - between Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story – the David Leitch-directed, R-rated farce, otherwise known as Deadpool 2, became the third Marvel movie to gross more than $300 million stateside this year, and subsequently went on to eclipse $700 million worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing R-rated movie of all-time. Not too shabby for the foul-mouthed mercenary, whose very existence once hinged on the accidental leakage of test footage, eh?

Seriously though, it does seem like no matter what obstacle was thrown at the feet of Wade Wilson, the Merc has always found a way to persevere. I mean, had skepticism gotten the better of 20th Century Fox, Deadpool would’ve never made it to the big screen. And now look at where we are; the studio’s re-releasing several titles from their back catalogue and tarnishing the reputation of a classic piece of cinema like Alien just to promote the release of Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut.

Speaking of which, a new trailer has been released tonight to remind us that Wade Wilson will be arriving on home video next month. That being said, it’s almost identical to the theatrical trailer, except this one says “Look For It On 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital” at the end, which you totally can on August 21st. Mind you, the physical release will include both the theatrical cut and the “Super Duper $@%!#&” version, so there’s no need to put yourself through a Sophie’s choice type of scenario.

In the meantime, while we wait for a resolution to the proposed acquisition of 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company – which, who are we kidding, at this rate probably won’t be achieved in our lifetime – you can enter our contest to take home your very own copy of Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut. Simply follow the instructions on the Tweet below and you’ll be automatically entered. Good luck!
