Disney Plus has plenty to offer in September, and though the live-action remake of Cinderella made an appearance this past Tuesday, today marks its first major content drop full of awesome new stuff to watch. Subscribers now have access to nostalgic bliss with both The Mighty Ducks sequels and Drew Barrymore's 1999 rom-com Never Been Kissed. Meanwhile, those willing to shell out an extremely pricey $29.99 can finally watch the brand new live-action Mulan remake, or they can simply wait until it becomes free in December.
If you're a Netflix subscriber, you're probably not hurting for new content to watch, as the past few months have been filled with exceptional movies and shows that many of us haven't even had a chance to get through yet. September alone has offered a bevy of fresh titles on the platform like Todd Phillips' already-dominating Due Date, civil war classic Glory, and the full Back to the Future trilogy, among dozens of other stellar additions.
September is keeping Netflix subscribers quite busy with tons of excellent movies and series to catch up on. It's only the first week of the month so far, but we've already received such major hits as Seth Rogen and James Franco's comedy Pineapple Express, Matthew Broderick and Denzel Washington's war drama Glory, and all three films in the beloved Back to the Future trilogy. In other words, regardless of what kind of genre you dig, there's something for you to enjoy this month.
People around the globe remain in a state of unrest as the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc, having reached 26 million worldwide cases and nearly a million deaths, all but ensuring that 2020 has no intention of offering us a reprieve by the end of the year. The United States is still shouldering the brunt of the outbreak with 258,000 cases alone, and with lawmakers in a seemingly never-ending state of contention regarding the advice of health officials, it's likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future.
It'd be hard to meet someone who grew up in the 70s and 80s without knowing about Sylvester Stallone and his myriad of major hit films. He brought to life fictional boxer Rocky Balboa in the Rocky franchise, starred alongside Kurt Russell in the buddy cop flick Tango & Cash, and even took a stab at musical comedy with Dolly Parton in Rhinestone. And though he's well-known for those movies and more, one film series really put him on the map as the badass action star he became synonymous with over the years.
It's a new month, which means there's plenty of fresh stuff to stream across a variety of platforms, and Netflix got off to a fantastic start right out of the gate with yesterday's substantial first of the month content drop. With over 30 new additions, the service brought back all three movies in the Back to the Future trilogy, the hilarious Seth Rogen and James Franco team-up Pineapple Express, classic musical Grease, and all six seasons of the beloved 90's sitcom Sister, Sister, among many others.
Netflix has always been the dominant platform for streaming content, especially with their substantial collection of original movies and shows that remain exclusive to subscribers. However, the world of streaming is growing every day with new services offering various perks over others, leaving many customers having to make hard decisions over which one will provide them with the best bang for their buck.
