Duel is often classified as one of the most underrated thrillers of all-time. Steven Spielberg's early 70s pic is filled to the brim with tension and intrigue, keeping viewers on the edge of their seat throughout the entire movie. Given its cult status over the years, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before someone decided to remake the action classic and now, that appears to be finally happening.
Will Smith has had an excellent career thus far, but it hasn't been without several big mistakes. One of the biggest errors of his career (aside from passing on doing The Matrix) might very well be the follow-ups to his highly successful film Men in Black. During a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, the actor admitted that he might've dropped the ball when it comes to this franchise. In his own words:
Earlier this month at the Golden Globes, Joker star Joaquin Phoenix used his acceptance speech to talk about an issue that's becoming more perilous by the second. The actor called upon his fellow celebrities to take initiative when it comes to the impending threat of climate change. He's proven that he's serious as well by vowing to wear the same suit to every awards show this season in an effort to reduce waste.
The Irishman might be considered one of the best movies of 2019, but not every one of the over 26 million people who watched it are happy with what they saw. One of those very disgruntled viewers is Jack Goldsmith, who's the real-life stepson of Chuckie O'Brien (played by Jesse Plemons in the film). In the flick, O'Brien is depicted as Jimmy Hoffa's loyal yet distant foster son who unwittingly becomes an accomplice in the notorious gangster's murder.
A lot of horror fans were seriously bummed when the Final Destination titles left Netflix in the summer. The good news, though, is that it now appears that the absence was short-lived, as the first four entries in the franchise are currently once again available to stream on the service. That's right, every single movie in the series aside from Final Destination 5 can now be watched by anyone with a Netflix account. It's currently unknown why the last film isn't featured along with its predecessors, but hopefully it'll find its way onto the platform soon enough.
While all of our attention might currently be focused on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Disney reportedly has its eyes on rebooting another one of its intergalactic features. According to our sources, the studio is intent on remaking The Black Hole. Executives are looking at Tim Burton or a director of his ilk to helm the project, which will be a modernized version of the original plot.
Maybe they should start calling it The Plunge of Skywalker instead. Following a massive opening weekend, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has seen a significant drop-off in attendance over the following weeks. While the movie is still a massive blockbuster that's slated to shoot past the one billion mark soon enough, it could still be looked at as a troubling trend for the once-dominant franchise.
Fans nearly lost their minds when it was announced that renowned actor Christian Bale is circling a key role in Thor: Love and Thunder. While we still don't know who he'll be playing as of yet, it seems like the majority of the public is rooting for the Academy Award winner to portray Beta Ray Bill. There are plenty of other options that might be on the table, though, including this particularly interesting possibility: Cul, God of Fear.
The Witcher is a show's that as captivating as it's utterly confusing. As you've surely seen online, fans have argued at length about the series' timeline, which was seemingly interpretive up until today. Now, however, we have an official answer to the questions that have been plaguing us ever since the first few episodes, as Netflix recently released the official timeline that explains when everything happened.
