Actor and stuntwoman Jade Xu might reprise her role as one of the super-spies from Black Widow in the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve watched The Evil Dead, it remains just as endlessly entertaining every single time. And if you’re eager to catch it on the big screen one more time, you can. Indie film distribution company Grindhouse Releasing is bringing the classic horror movie to drive-in theaters from Saturday, June 13 onward.
The gruff and muscled Wolverine we know and love, as portrayed by Hugh Jackman, might have been played out of cinematic continuity in Logan, but that doesn’t mean he can’t return through some convoluted plot twist in future MCU films. Perhaps we’ll get to see Jackman cameo then, even if a full return for the actor is unlikely. This means that Marvel might already be scouting for a replacement to come in and play the iconic role. Especially with the MCU reportedly looking to make Spider-Man and Wolverine the future faces of the franchise.
While we know that we'll see Henry Cavill suit back up as the Man of Steel at some point, his future in the DCEU is still hazy. Though he's likely to return to the role after reshoots for the Snyder Cut of Justice League have wrapped up, his continued involvement with the franchise might be strictly limited to cameos, and these guest appearances could be a part of Aquaman 2 or Shazam! 2. But fans are still rallying to support Cavill’s return for a rumored sequel to Man of Steel and they just might get their wish.
Wolverine has clashed with a ridiculous number of characters throughout comic book history. Conflict is basically his raison d'être and his most epic story arcs usually involve some form of misunderstanding that leads to a superhuman brawl. As Logan doesn't always make the distinction between friend or foe, he's fought the Hulk, Deadpool, Magneto, Spider-Man and, in a crazy turn of events, even himself, but he hasn’t always come out on top.
Against all odds, the first live-action Pokémon movie, Detective Pikachu, was a resounding success. Amid a sea of terrible anime live-action adaptations, the film managed to buck the trend with an entertaining plot full of laughs and incredible CGI, bringing the world of Pocket Monsters to life. But credit where it’s due, as the chemistry between Justice Smith and Ryan Reynolds, the voice of the yellow electric mouse, was undeniably charming.
There are plenty of untold stories in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which makes us more excited to see how the live-action adaptation will expand the lore. We’ve already reported on one additional storyline involving Zuko that might be making its way to the show, and now, our sources - the same ones who told us about Percy Jackson being rebooted as a streaming series and Han returning in Fast & Furious 9, both of which were correct - have given us some intel on another significant plot inclusion.
HBO Max is quickly becoming the de facto home of all things DCEU. There’s the Snyder Cut of Justice League, the more than likely release of the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, and even the J.J. Abrams-helmed Justice League Dark live-action series. But that’s not the only project Abrams is attached to. His contract with Warner Brothers might include an as yet unannounced Superman movie, which could be either a sequel or a reboot at this point.
