Well, it looks like new director Matt Reeves has made a few changes to the script since coming on board, and unfortunately, he’s cut down Deathstroke’s role. Before we proceed, we should note that this news comes from the DCEU Leaks section on Reddit, so take it with the requisite pinch of salt. Granted, there has been a lot of accurate information posted on there in the past, but they’re not always right. Regardless, here’s what the latest leak tells us.

Apparently, Deathstroke will still be in the film, but not as the main villain. Instead, Reeves is hoping to do a larger scale movie and as such, he wants to include most of Batman’s rogues, along with the Bat family. There’s no mention of which other characters we could end up seeing, but it looks like a lot of familiar faces will be showing up in the blockbuster, which certainly sounds exciting, but could also backfire tremendously.

After all, we’ve seen so many comic book movies go down this route in the past, throwing in too many characters just to please fans and ultimately ending up with an over-stuffed film that wastes half of the people in it. That’s not to say such a thing will happen with The Batman, and a large scale effort could certainly work, but until we learn more, we’ll remain cautiously optimistic.

What do you think, though? Is it a good idea to introduce most of the Dark Knight’s rogues into The Batman? Or were you hoping for a more intimate outing? Sound off in the usual place with your thoughts!
