Actually, there’s another one in the mix which we should all look forward to, that being Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. Set to be the second quarter release in the line, it was first announced at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con. At the time, we all assumed it to be part of the New 52 inspired continuity of flicks, but it’s turned out to be something else that’ll satisfy longtime fans of the brand.

You see, a triumvirate of beloved voice actors will reprise their roles making up DC’s hallowed Trinity of heroes. That’s right, a Justice League Unlimited reunion of sorts will be witnessed, as Kevin Conroy once again lends his pipes to Batman, George Newbern suits up as Superman (in spirit, at least), and Susan Eisenberg returns as Wonder Woman.

As for their purpose in the piece, the synopsis provided to The Hollywood Reporter details just that:

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five finds the fate of the earth hanging in the balance when the Justice League faces a powerful new threat — the Fatal Five! Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman seek answers as the time-traveling trio of Mano, Persuader and Tharok terrorize Metropolis in search of budding Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz. With her unwilling help, they aim to free remaining Fatal Five members Emerald Empress and Validus to carry out their sinister plan. But the Justice League has also discovered an ally from another time in the peculiar Star Boy — brimming with volatile power, could he be the key to thwarting the Fatal Five? An epic battle against ultimate evil awaits!”

When it comes to Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, she’ll be voiced by none other than Diane Guerrero (Doom Patrol). This particular character is actually relatively new to the mythos and was introduced in the comics only a few years ago. Granted, DC Super Hero Girls did beat this production to the punch when it came to lifting her off the printed page, but it’s nice seeing her getting more exposure.

Rounding out the cast will be Elyes Gabel as Thomas Kallor/Star Boy, Peter Jessop as Thorak, Tom Kenny as Bloodsport, Matthew Yang King as The Persuader, Sumalee Montano as Emerald Empress, Philip Anthony Rodriguez as Mano, Daniela Bobadilla as Miss Martian, Kevin Michael Richardson as Mr. Terrific, Noel Fisher as Brainiac 5 and Tara Strong as Saturn Girl.

Right now, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five lacks a release date, though an April or May debut is expected.
